How can I be a Blessing?
Jesus told us, his committed followers to go and make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Glen Ellen Community Church is our mission to the community and the world. It begins locally and spreads overseas to key ministries in Asia and Europe. Here at home, Glen Ellen Community members are involved in a variety of ministries as indicated throughout this website. Specific organizations/projects which we are involved in are included in the following sections:

Food and Compassion
Glen Ellen Community Church is passionate about the cares and needs of the community in which we live. While we are a small church, we try to provide a cup of cold water wherever we can. In emergency situation, we provide food, assistance for rent and/or utility bills, and other emergency needs. For specific details, please click here.
Opportunities to minister at GECC
A church is a vibrant organism which requires many hands to assist. Our various leadership boards are responsible for organizing and carrying out ministries in various areas. Individuals not specifically servicing on a particular Board are needed to come alongside and assist in specific ministries or ministry projects under the following Boards:
Christian Education Board
The Christian Education board is responsible to oversee the various ministries of our Ministry to Children and Youth and our VBS-Kids Kamp. The C.E. board reviews, tests and chooses age appropriate curriculums for our children and youth to present the Gospel in a way that kids will understand and respond to.
The Deacon Board at Glen Ellen Community Church serves to assist the pastor with regular pastoral duties. Specifically included is preparing the sanctuary for worship, calling on the elderly and infirmed, being up front assisting in the worship service, ushering, overseeing the Benevolent Fund, and serving communion.
The women of the Deaconess Board are tireless in their efforts to provide an ongoing and vital ministry of the church. From visitations to providing food to those requiring meals, to putting on various celebrative events throughout the church year, our women’s ministry is key to the success of our church ministry.
Our Trustee Board is responsible for the care and maintenance of the Glen Ellen Community Church facilities, as well as preparing and overseeing the financial processes of the church. Being an Historic church which dates to 1894, there is always opportunities to assist with the care and maintenance of the church.
